Your ERP feeds the plant floor.
totalMOS takes products, formulas, machines and production orders from the ERP you already run, so nobody types them twice. This page is for the people who own that ERP and need to know what touches it.
Book a demoWhat it reads
A mapping written for your ERP says which tables and columns fill which of our fields. It refuses costs, prices, customers, vendors and employees, so those are never read.
- Products
- Code, name and shelf life.
- Formulas
- Each product’s materials, turned into the mass of every material per batch. A formula that changes in the ERP becomes the next revision in totalMOS.
- Machines
- The lines the schedule and the sessions run on.
- Production orders
- Read one at a time when a batcher picks a job, never imported in bulk. The batch order keeps the order number and its lines.
Safeguards on the connection
- A login that cannot write
- The connection uses an ERP login with read permission only, and every sync checks that it still cannot write before it reads anything.
- Queries we generate
- Every query is built from the mapping, with each value passed as a parameter. No setting, mapping or module can hand the connection its own SQL.
- Limits on every read
- Each query has a timeout and a row cap, and runs in a read-only transaction that is rolled back.
- Started by a person
- There is no scheduled sync. An admin presses Sync now, or IT runs it from the command line, where a dry run shows what would change and writes nothing.
- A record of every sync
- Each sync keeps what it changed, the problems it found and a fingerprint of the mapping it used.
- A password kept encrypted
- The ERP password is stored encrypted with AES-256-GCM, under a key that lives only on your server.
Writing back to the ERP
Out of the box the connection only reads. When you want results to go back, such as completed orders or the material consumed, we build the write-back for your project and agree with your ERP team on exactly what it may write.

Frequently asked questions
Does the ERP integration work in the cloud?
It comes with the on-site edition, on the same network as your ERP.
Who writes the mapping?
We write it with your ERP team during the installation, from your own tables and custom fields. It belongs to you and is stored on your server.
What happens when a sync finds a problem?
It records each problem on the sync and leaves the affected record as it was, then carries on with the rest. Admins and managers read every sync and its problems in Setup, under ERP sync.
